SPORTSHIFT III TRANSMISSION
The bespoke seven-speed Sportshift III automated manual transmission was designed to unleash the maximum performance from the V12 engine. Paddleshift controls maximise driver control and engagement as both hands remain on the wheel. Each paddle pull delivers rapid, precise gearchanges of under 70 milliseconds even at high engine speeds, improving performance over a manual shift gearbox. With technology derived from our GT race programme and a slave cylinder taken from the Aston Martin One-77 hypercar V12 Vantage S Roadster is not only engineered for speed, its engineered for control. Three-stage adaptive damping (encompassing Normal, Sport and Track modes) enables abroad bandwidth of dynamic character. With hundreds of readings per second each damper instantly reacts and adjusts to road conditions, vehicle performance and driver control to deliver required levels of ride firmness and handling sharpness.
PRECISION STOPPING POWER
V12 Vantage S uses our most advanced carbon ceramic matrix braking system, deliver class-leading brake feel and performance. Cross drilled to reduce weight, noise and judder, the large cross-section brake discs dissipate heat to prolong performance and reduce brake fade.
